Advanced ADI Manufacturing Technology

Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) represents the cutting edge of cast iron technology, offering strength comparable to steel at a fraction of the weight and cost.

What is ADI?

Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) is a type of ductile iron that has been heat treated through a process called austempering. This creates a unique microstructure called ausferrite, which gives ADI its exceptional mechanical properties.

The austempering process involves heating the ductile iron to above 900°C to austenitize it, then rapidly quenching in a salt bath at 250-400°C and holding until the transformation is complete.

The result is a material with twice the strength of conventional ductile iron, excellent wear resistance, high fatigue strength, and good impact toughness - all while being lighter and more cost-effective than steel.

ADI Grades We Produce

ADI 800-10800 MPa / 10%
ADI 1000-51000 MPa / 5%
ADI 1200-21200 MPa / 2%
ADI 1400-11400 MPa / 1%
ADI 1600-11600 MPa / 1%

* Our 1600-1 grade achieves impact values of 100+ (international standard: 20)

Our Innovations

43 patents covering equipment, products, materials, and processes

Invention Patent

Automated Austempering Furnace

Our self-designed austempering system places box furnaces on both sides with a salt bath in the center. A four-direction movable platform with automated control reduces labor intensity and improves product consistency.

Invention Patent

Salt Water Recovery System

Innovative system that uses salt-contaminated wash water as coolant when the quenching liquid exceeds set temperature. This recovers the salt, eliminates wastewater, and improves product hardenability.

Process Innovation

No-Machining Pump Elbows

Through mold improvements, our pump elbows achieve machined-quality end surfaces without actual machining, reducing costs and production time significantly.

Patent Pending

Low-Temperature Performance

Through SGS and CSIC testing, we discovered our ADI actually increases in strength at lower temperatures (-20°C to -60°C) - a unique property not previously reported.

Quality Assurance

Our comprehensive quality control system ensures every product meets or exceeds specifications. From incoming material inspection to final product testing, we maintain strict standards at every stage.

Our testing capabilities include mechanical property testing, metallographic analysis, dimensional verification, and non-destructive testing when required.

Products have been verified by internationally recognized testing facilities including SGS (Tianjin) and the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Materials Testing Center.
