Our Technology
Advanced ADI Manufacturing Technology
Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) represents the cutting edge of cast iron technology, offering strength comparable to steel at a fraction of the weight and cost.
What is ADI?
Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) is a type of ductile iron that has been heat treated through a process called austempering. This creates a unique microstructure called ausferrite, which gives ADI its exceptional mechanical properties.
The austempering process involves heating the ductile iron to above 900°C to austenitize it, then rapidly quenching in a salt bath at 250-400°C and holding until the transformation is complete.
The result is a material with twice the strength of conventional ductile iron, excellent wear resistance, high fatigue strength, and good impact toughness - all while being lighter and more cost-effective than steel.

ADI Material Advantages
Why leading manufacturers choose ADI for demanding applications
High Strength
Tensile strength up to 1600 MPa, comparable to or exceeding forged steel, with better fatigue resistance.
Lightweight
10% lighter than steel for equivalent strength, reducing energy consumption and improving performance.
Wear Resistant
Exceptional abrasion resistance suitable for demanding applications like mining and concrete pumping.
Impact Tough
Superior impact resistance even at low temperatures (-60°C), preventing brittle failure.
Machinable
Can be machined before or after heat treatment, offering design flexibility.
Sustainable
100% recyclable material with lower energy consumption compared to steel production.
Our Manufacturing Process
Integrated production from casting to finished product
Casting
High-quality ductile iron castings produced using shell core or resin sand processes. We use high-purity pig iron and optimized chemical compositions for superior base material.
- •Shell core casting for precision parts

Our Innovations
43 patents covering equipment, products, materials, and processes
Automated Austempering Furnace
Our self-designed austempering system places box furnaces on both sides with a salt bath in the center. A four-direction movable platform with automated control reduces labor intensity and improves product consistency.
Salt Water Recovery System
Innovative system that uses salt-contaminated wash water as coolant when the quenching liquid exceeds set temperature. This recovers the salt, eliminates wastewater, and improves product hardenability.
No-Machining Pump Elbows
Through mold improvements, our pump elbows achieve machined-quality end surfaces without actual machining, reducing costs and production time significantly.
Low-Temperature Performance
Through SGS and CSIC testing, we discovered our ADI actually increases in strength at lower temperatures (-20°C to -60°C) - a unique property not previously reported.
Quality Assurance
Our comprehensive quality control system ensures every product meets or exceeds specifications. From incoming material inspection to final product testing, we maintain strict standards at every stage.
Our testing capabilities include mechanical property testing, metallographic analysis, dimensional verification, and non-destructive testing when required.
Products have been verified by internationally recognized testing facilities including SGS (Tianjin) and the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Materials Testing Center.
